On Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at about 6:40 p.m., a 50-year old male pedestrian attempting to cross the intersection of Mission Street and Valencia Street in San Francisco when he was struck by a SamTrans bus. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and died.
Police are investigating.

Authorities said there were no passengers. California Highway Patrol Officer Ron Erickson said the cars that collided were headed in opposite directions. With victims still inside, the car flipped numerous times and burst into fire then landed in a ditch about a half a mile north of Highway 1. Those involved in the accident were a 52 year old man who died and a 23 year old male passenger who was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with burns to his left hand and stomach.
