Two Pedestrians in Crosswalk Struck by Truck on West Portal and Vicente, San Francisco on 3/20/13

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, a truck struck two pedestrians (a man and a woman) as they attempted to cross the street in the crosswalk at Vicente Street and West Portal Avenue in San Francisco. The female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to San Francisco General Hospital.

This is a bustling intersection on the streetcar line which is governed by traffic signal lights.
